Located on Sodepur Road, Acharya Prafulla Chandra College in New Barrackpore was established in the year 1960. Started under the dispersal scheme with the joint participation of the State and Central Government, the college is now considered as one of the best colleges in the district. It is affiliated with the West Bengal State University with aids, assistance and grants from the Government of West Bengal and the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. To further achieve academic excellence, the institution has a ‘B++’ accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
